Contemplate The Myth Of The Free MLM Business

If anyone tells you they have a free multi-level marketing program that you can join and make money with, you have two options. You can laugh in their face or you can politely tell them, no thanks. But, you can not take them seriously, because there is no such thing as a free MLM business.

MLM can never be free. After all, it's a business, and every business needs to sell something to survive. Whoever tells you differently, either does not understand, or they are lying to you. In either scenario, that is probably not an individual you would want to go into business with.

In years gone by, multi-level marketing companies put more emphasis on their members to purchase more products than they could use, so they could sell them at a higher price to family and friends, or even take them to the swap meet. In addition, members would also recruit, to build a downline organization. Today, there is very little stocking of extra products. The focus is on a minimum purchase for every member's own consumption, and on building a downline team who will do the same thing.

The way the downline works is you recruit other people to join your program. They also must commit to the basic monthly purchase. You make a commission every month on what they buy. They are placed on your first level.

When your first level members refer new members of their own, those members are on your second level. You didn't refer them, but you still make money from every purchase they make, as well all the other levels that your downline will eventually extend to. Depending on the program that you join, you could make money for five or ten levels deep, or possibly more.

Given time and work, your downline could includes dozens of individuals. It is not rare for people to have hundreds of members in their organization. For them, the momentum is so great that they could stop working and yet their residual income will continue to grow each month.

The only way this is made possible is due to the simple fact that every member is spending money. If this was some kind of free organization, it would obviously be absolutely impossible to create residual income. It would simply be a rather meaningless list of who joined, when they joined and who referred them.

It would be a total exercise in futility. Nobody would be enjoying the great products, because nobody would give them away without being paid for them.

While it's true that there is no free MLM business, it is absolutely remarkable to be able to start a viable business by simply buying a modest amount of products every month; especially when you join a program that sells things you buy all the time, anyway.
